Kool Deadwood Nites brings car lovers together for four days full of classic cars, classic music and classic fun. It’s a 50’s and 60’s sock hop – Deadwood style. Enjoy a parade, show and shine and FREE concerts on Main Street featuring the biggest names in rock ‘n roll history.


2019 Information

  • Registration for 2019 Kool Deadwood Nites will be held at the Deadwood’s Welcome Center! 501 Main Street, Deadwood, S.D. 57732. This is a brand new center that opened in 2017. It’s located in the Lower Main Street Parking Lot, across from the Hampton Inn at Tin Lizzie.
  • Kool Deadwood Nites registered cars ONLY will have a section of the Lower Main Street parking lot (location of the new Welcome Center, where registration will be held) Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 22-24. Of course, registrants can continue to park throughout the event at the History and Information Center too.
  • There’s also a shuttle being offered for parking again this year, from Akela Spa to Deadwood. This is a free service to all of our guests for Kool Deadwood Nites, and it runs from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday, August 22 and 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday, August 23 & 24.
  • Auction vehicle check-in at TBD on Thursday, August 22 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information contact McPherson Auction & Realty at 605-484-1781 or 605-381-1594.
  • The Classic Car Auction is held at Deadwood Mountain Grand, Friday and Saturday, starting at 10 a.m. The auction begins each day at 9 a.m. with memorabilia. For more information contact McPherson Auction & Realty at 605-484-1781 or 605-381-1594.
  • The City of Deadwood Police Department asks that you please refrain from doing Burn-Outs during the parade on Sunday, August 25.
  • The Main Street Entertainment will feature Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone on August 22, The Kingsmen on August 23, and The Fabulous Thunderbirds on August 24.
  • Meet professional drivers at the NAPA Tool Trailer! (501 main Street) Brad Sweet (Sprint Car) will be available on Friday, August 23 from 11am-12:30pm. Ron Capps (Funny Car) will be available on Saturday, August 24 from 1-3pm. Both events are free and open to the public.
  • The Sunday evening concert held at Deadwood Mountain Grand is a ticketed event. The ‘Happy Together Tour – 2019’ will be celebrating their 10th anniversary in the Deadwood Mountain Grand Event Center featuring The Turtles, Chuck Negron formerly of Three Dog Night, Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, The Buckinghams, the Classics IV and The Cowsills. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster.com.
