➡Holiday Ho Ho Horseshoes
November 18 through December 30, purchase a unique Deadwood holiday ornament (horseshoe) from participating locations to win great prizes. ➡Holiday Parking Fees Donated for Good Cause
Free parking for all! Park free in any public paid parking spot in Deadwood, except the Broadway Ramp, for free from November 24 through December 26. Any revenue received at these spaces as well as from the Broadway Parking Ramp will be earmarked as donation to local non-profit organizations.

➡Christmas Tree Permits Now Available, Black Hills National Forest
Black Hills National Forest Christmas tree permits are available for purchase either online at Recreation.govfrom your local Forest Service office or from private vendors throughout the Black Hills – including from the Deadwood Welcome Center (501 Main Street). Details about where to cut your tree and height restrictions may be found at

To purchase a Christmas Tree permit online, visit and search for Black Hills National Forest Christmas Tree Permit. It is important to carefully read the overview and need-to-know information prior to purchasing the permit. Visitors will need to set up or login to a account to complete the transaction. Each permit is $10 for any tree, plus a $2.50 processing fee. Users can purchase up to five permits per account. Online permits are ready to print immediately after purchasing and must be visible as you remove your tree(s) from the Forest.

Additionally, all 4th graders throughout the United States receive a FREE Christmas tree permit, as part of the Every Kid Outdoors Program. If utilizing the online system at, enter the voucher or pass number when prompted. Call your local Forest Service office for more information on the Every Kid Outdoors Program.

➡Kris Kringle’s Christmas Market at Outlaw Square
Need a one-of-a-kind gift for that special someone in your life? Historic Deadwood has you covered! Outlaw Square will host a Christmas shopping event – Kris Kringle’s Christmas Market – with vendor booths offering unique products for all the hard-to-buy-for people on your list! The market will take place Friday December 10th from 5-8pm & Saturday December 11th from 10-6pm at Outlaw Square! There will be food, hot chocolate, and mulled wine on hand. Saturday features of variety of entertainment and also visit from Kris Kringle himself!
