30 Years of Classic Cars, Music and Historic Fun
Kool Deadwood Nites brings car lovers together for six days full of classic cars, classic music and classic fun. It’s a 50’s and 60’s sock hop – Deadwood style. Enjoy a parade, show and shine and FREE concerts on Main Street featuring the biggest names in rock ‘n roll history.

2024 Information
- Your vehicle must be a ’73 or older to register. Registration will remain open during the event through Friday, August 23.
- Pre-registration packets will be mailed in May 2024 to those who registered a car in 2023. We will continue to mail packets through mid-August 2024. If you would like one, please call 605-578-1876. Walk-up registration will be available at the event through Friday evening, August 23.
- To receive the early bird discount the registration fee must be paid by August 1, 2024.
- New in 2024! An additional day of activities, live entertainment, show & shine and registration on Tuesday, August 20!
- New in 2024! Lunch for registered car owners in Sturgis on Wednesday.
- Car registration cost: $80 before August 1, 2024; $100 after August 1, 2024
- Registration for 2024 Kool Deadwood Nites will be held throughout the event at the Deadwood’s Welcome Center! 501 Main Street, Deadwood, S.D. 57732.
- Kool Deadwood Nites registered cars ONLY will have a section of the Lower Main Street parking lot (location of the new Welcome Center, where registration will be held) Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 21-24, 2024. Of course, registrants can continue to park throughout the event at the History and Information Center too (August 22-24, 2024. PENDING CITY COMMISSION APPROVAL

- The City of Deadwood Police Department asks that you please refrain from doing Burn-Outs during the parade on Sunday.
- The Main Street Entertainment entertainment will be announced in February 2024.
- NEW in 2023 and continuing in 2024, driving poker runs on Thursday, walking poker runs on Saturday. Poker Run Awards for all routes are still on Saturday.

- 10 a.m. – 2 p.m: 16th Annual Rod Run – Registered classic cars only. Two options (departing from the Days of ’76 Rodeo Grounds), choose from an escorted tour through Spearfish or Vanocker Canyon. The Spearfish Canyon route includes a final stop at Carsten’s Cottages. They will have food and drinks available when you arrive. TENTATIVE: Vanocker itinerary is under development. Both Rod Runs leave from the Days of ‘76 Rodeo Grounds at 10:00 a.m. and lineup begins at 9:00 a.m.
