Main Street to Ring Out With Music Greats This Summer
A power-packed line up of billboard chart-toppers, platinum albums, #1 hits, vocalist of the year nominees, and more are headed to Deadwood’s Main Street Stage this summer for free concerts.
The free Main Street entertainment will begin with the Roots & Boots tour kicking off night one of Wild Bill Days on June 14. Aaron Tippin, Sammy Kershaw and Collin Raye make up this talented country music group. Attendees will enjoy seeing these three country music greats perform hits such as “You’ve Got to Stand For Something,” “I Wouldn’t Have it Any Other Way,” “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful,” “I Can’t Reach Her Anymore,” “If I Were You,” “Love Me,” and more.
The country music conclave will continue into night two of Wild Bill Days with Tracy Byrd set to perform on June 15. Best known for his hits “The Keeper of the Stars,” “Watermelon Crawl.” “I’m From the Country,” and “Ten Rounds with Jose Cuervo,” Byrd will electrify the crowd with his talent and presence.
The Main Street stage will come back out to provide more free entertainment to crowds during the 25th Annual Kool Deadwood Nites celebration August 22 – 25 and Kool Deadwood Nites fans will enjoy a nostalgic stroll down memory lane with the rock groups set to perform.
Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone will bring the British Invasion of the 60s to the Historic streets of Deadwood. The pop-rock powerhouse group will pump up the audience as they perform their hits “Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter,” “I’m Henry the Eighth, I Am,” “Can’t You Hear My Heartbeat,” “There’s A Kind Of Hush” and other legendary chart toppers. Herman’s Hermits will perform on August 22.
The enduring classic “Louie, Louie” will ring through the Deadwood Gulch on August 23 when the Kingsmen take the stage. The group has a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for one of the 500 songs that shaped rock and roll, and they are bringing that fabled talent right to Main Street with performances of their hits “Jolly Green Giant,” Death of an Angel.” “Annie Fay,” and beyond.
Rounding off this incredibly talented lineup will be the blues-rock stylings of The Fabulous Thunderbirds. The group that is best known for its hits “Tuff Enuff,” “Wrap It Up,” “Why Get Up,” and “Powerful Stuff” have a style that will get crowds dancing, singing, and cheering. The energetic group will perform on August 24.
Deadwood’s Main Street entertainment is part of the annual Wild Bill Days and Kool Deadwood Nites celebrations.
