Deadwood Main Street Initiative “MSI”
Deadwood Main Street Initiative “MSI” is a non-profit organization formed by the Deadwood Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau in partnership with the City of Deadwood to facilitate discussions and build consensus on developing a series of goals for economic development for Deadwood within the context of historic preservation.
MSI’s Core Goals:
Goal 1: Promote Deadwood as a desirable place to live, shop, work and invest.
Goal 2: Elevate economic vitality across Main Street and neighboring business districts.
Goal 3: Improve quality of life for residents through meaningful community enhancements.
Goal 4: Organize and host community events that generate revenue and foster local pride.
Goal 5: Support historic preservation and beautification to enhance Deadwood’s visual and cultural character.
