October 3, 2025 - October 4, 2025 Join us in Deadwood as we celebrate Oktoberfest in the Wild West! Enjoy a scavenger hunt with prizes, a German car show, and join us for the now-famous “Wiener Dog Races” and Beer Barrel Games!

Friday, October 3, 2025
11 A.M. – 6 P.M. • Calamity’s Climb – Outlaw Square – $8 for ages 6-16 and $10 ages 17+. Includes two climbs.
4:30-7 P.M. • The Lost Lederhosen Hunt Help Desk – Franklin Hotel – Need help setting up the app to participate? Stop by our help desk!
5 P.M. • Iron Horse Inn at Stan & Ollies Pub – Authentic polka music by The Bob Grimm Band and Friends is back on the S&O stage for the 5th Oktoberfest in a row! Stan&Ollies Pub is in the basement of the Historic Iron Horse Inn; full bar, craft beers on tap, free peanuts and Three Cousins Pizza! Get down here to help us celebrate the life and times of Bob Grimm.
5 – 8 P.M. • The Lost Lederhosen Hunt – Various Locations – Use the “Plan Deadwood” app (CLICK HERE FOR A LINK TO MOBILE APPS) to find and scan the QR codes at various locations all over Deadwood to find the Lost Lederhosen! Find them all to increase your chances of winning! Winners will be contacted via email at 8:30 p.m. and can pick up their prize at the Beer Barrel Game awards on Saturday, or during the week by stopping by the Deadwood Chamber of Commerce office during regular business hours.

10 A.M. – 1 P.M. • 2nd Annual Barktober Fall Festival – Marta’s Deadwood Doghouse (20791 76 Ranch Rd) – A community event centered around dogs, local vendors, small businesses, and pet portraits! Must pre-book a photo session. More information here.
11 A.M. • Registration for Wiener Dog Races – Main Street in front of Mustang Sally’s
11 A.M. – 3 P.M. • German Car Show – Main Street between Deadwood St. and Pine St. (Silverado/Franklin area) – Sponsored by SoDak AutoHaus. More Information Here.

1 P.M. • Wiener Dog Races – Main Street in front of The Bullock Hotel – Daschunds compete for “Fastest Wiener in the West” honors. Sponsored by Marta’s Deadwood Doghouse
1-4 P.M. • Weim, Wine & Cheese – Main Street in front of the Saloon 10 – Wine & cheese tasting. Proceeds benefit the Canine Cancer Fund.
2 P.M. • Registration for Beer Barrel Games – Main Street in front of the Gold Dust – Must be 21+ to participate. Number of participants is limited.
2 P.M. – 4 P.M. • Brat Cookoff – Gold Dust Casino, Nugget Saloon, Tin Lizzie Gaming Resort, The Landmark, Mineral Palace, Mr. Wu’s, Oyster Bay – Sponsored by Performance Foods – Businesses prepare a free bite-size brat dish for you to sample. The options may be traditional or creative. Try them all while supplies last! Vote for People’s Choice with donations. $1 = 1 vote. Dollars are donated to charity.
2:30 P.M. • The Hot Diggity Dachshund Afterparty at The Landmark Hotel and Casino – Where the race ends, the party begins! Enjoy food, drink specials, a DJ and dance floor, giveaways, and even a treat station for your four-legged friend!
