Live Entertainment in Deadwood, South Dakota
When we say we’ve been entertaining guests since 1876, we mean it! When you come to Historic Deadwood, you can enjoy Wild West reenactments, live music, free Main Street concerts, dachshund races, DockDog competitions, professional snowmobile racing, rodeos, and more!
Ticketed Events and Concerts
Every month of the year you’ll find some kind of major event in Deadwood. Deadwood events feature concerts by national bands, wine and food, rodeo action, parades, costume contests, car shows, amateur and professional competitions and just about everything else you can imagine (we told you anything goes.)
When there’s not an event on Main Street, you’ll find one in one of the bars or casinos, at Outlaw Square or at the Deadwood Mountain Grand Events Center. See today’s Rock ‘n Roll and Country music favorites, as well as music legends and up-and-coming stars.
Nightlife
Many Deadwood establishments offer live music, karaoke, live DJs, comedy shows and various forms of nightlife entertainment. Be sure to visit the Bars and Saloon section to see where you might have a little fun. Remember, no judgment and no regrets in Deadwood.
Reenactments & Shows
During the summer months, history comes to life on the cobblestone streets of Deadwood as re-enactors perform free daily shows, shootouts, and narrated tours on a historic stagecoach until September 20, 2025 then move to their winter schedule of weekend shows on September 26, 2025. You can find the full schedule and locations here. In the evening, those reenactors perform the Trial of Jack McCall, a stage play based on the real trial of Wild Bill’s murderer. The Trial’s performance has been part of Historic Deadwood’s entertainment lineup since the 1920s, making it one of the longest-running stage shows in the nation! *(Weather and special events permitting)
Outlaw Square’s Fall & Winter fun
Head to Outlaw Square at 703 Main Street for family-friendly fun during the week, like Glice skating and Ice Bumper Cars opening in mid to late November 2025. See their full schedule here. *Schedule subject to change due to weather.
