Lead’s Gold Camp Jubilee Days

July 2, 2026 - July 5, 2026

The biggest Gold Camp Jubilee ever!

Thursday, July 2nd through Sunday, July 5th, 2026

** PLEASE NOTE: No Dogs Allowed at Mountain Top Field**

In 1926, Homestake Mining Company threw a party to celebrate 50 years of mining called the Golden Jubilee. In memory of that amazing event, we now organize the Gold Camp Jubilee. This festival celebrates our iconic golden history of mining and our amazing community.

Join us for the best fireworks show in the Black Hills over the impressive Open Cut with amazing echoes and booms. Relax with live music, family-friendly activities, food trucks & vendors, bounce houses, volleyball, pickleball, horseshoes, and many other events, all while enjoying the small-town charm of Historic Lead Main Street!

FAQ’s:

  • “Can you watch the fireworks from Main Street?”
    • Not exactly, but you can get a great view from Manuel Brothers Park and the parking lot of the Sanford Lab Homestake Visitor Center. If you can see the Open Cut, you’ll be able to see the fireworks.
  • “Will the fireworks be rescheduled in the event of a weather situation?”
    • Depends on the weather situation.  If rain/storms, then yes, they will be rescheduled for the following day.  If due to dry conditions that pose a fire risk, then no, they will be canceled completely.  All updates will be live on the Lead Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook Page.
