Primary Role and Job Description
The role of the front counter clerk is to provide impeccable customer service. As a clerk for our company, you are primarily, though not exclusively, handling all in-store transactions. Areas of focus will include full shelf conditions, neatly merchandised displays and shelves, building display point-of-sale in all areas of the store, properly rotating products, and accurate pricing of all products. Must have the ability to maintain a neat appearance, accurately operate our POS system and perform monetary operations along with phone operations. This role will also be responsible for handling, decorating and packing all of our chocolates; taking care of inventory shipments to our Rapid City location, along with packaging shipments for delivery worldwide. Other directions or duties will be provided by the front store supervisor. Being a front clerk is a very important part of our reputation and you must like people to perform it well
Ability to perform hard work in a fast-paced work environment and meet the defined physical activities (frequently lifting, bending, and carrying up to 25 lbs., occasionally over 50 lbs., pushing, pulling, etc.) while adhering to the safety expectations and processes. Standing for long periods of time.
