Join us on May 21 for the next Deep Talks lecture featuring Angela White, a doctoral researcher working at the forefront of particle physics and the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE).
DUNE will explore some of the most fundamental questions about our universe—how particles behave, how they change, and what they can reveal about the nature of matter itself. Currently, Angela serves as a light readout expert for the 2×2 Demonstrator, a prototype for DUNE’s near detector systems. Her work focuses on developing and refining the technology used to detect elusive particles, helping push the limits of what’s possible in precision physics experiments.
Whether you’re curious about neutrinos, interested in emerging technologies, or just want to hear from someone helping shape the future of science, this talk offers a unique look inside the nation’s largest neutrino experiment.
How to attend:
Deep Talks will be held at the Sanford Lab Homestake Visitor Center (160 W. Main Street) in Lead, South Dakota. The event begins at 5 p.m. MT with a social hour, featuring a beer tasting and light refreshments. The presentation will start at 6 p.m. MT.
