Enjoy a multi-day July 4th celebration in Deadwood, July 4-5, 2026!
July 4:
3 pm – PARADE on Main Street
The Deadwood Chamber of Commerce invites the public to enjoy an Independence Day Parade in Historic Deadwood on July 4th at 3 pm. The parade will begin at the Days of ’76 Event Complex and continue up Main Street, and continue on Hwy 14a through Central City and on to Lead (4pm). Historic Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic for the duration of the parade. Anyone wishing to be in the Independence Day Parade should contact the Chamber at (605) 578-1876.
Live Music (Play Some Petty) is available in Outlaw Square following the parade.
July 4-5: Red, White & Wu’s
Head to Mr Wu’s for a weekend of good food and free, live entertainment. CLICK HERE for a detailed schedule. Bands include A Tribute to Toby Keith (Saturday) and Camp Comfort (Sunday). Must be 21+.
Trolley Service – July 4th & 5th
The Trolly will be picking up at the Silverado/Franklin and at the Deadwood Welcome Center (501 Main Street) on the 4th and 5th due to one way traffic on lower Main Street for the Red White and Wu’s event. The Trolley will not pickup/drop off on Main Street between Tin Lizzie and the Silverado Franklin during this time. It will go back to its regular route at 8:30pm on July 5th.

FAQ’s:
- “Can you watch the fireworks from Main Street?”
- Not exactly, but you can get a great view from Manuel Brothers Park and the parking lot of the Sanford Lab Homestake Visitor Center. If you can see the Open Cut, you’ll be able to see the fireworks.
- “Will the fireworks be rescheduled in the event of a weather situation?”
- Depends on the weather situation. If rain/storms, then yes, they will be rescheduled for the following day. If due to dry conditions that pose a fire risk, then no, they will be canceled completely. All updates will be live on the Lead Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook Page.
