Custer Crossing Family Campground

“UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP”
….But we still have the exceptional customer service that has been provided for many years at this same location.
WELCOME TO CUSTER CROSSING FAMILY CAMPGROUND!!!
From the moment you arrive you will enjoy the friendliness of all the staff.
Custer Crossing Family Campground is located 15 miles south of Historic Downtown Deadwood, that has been entertaining guests since 1876.
Just a little down the road (34 miles) is Mount Rushmore National Memorial, which boosts the exceptional craftsmanship of Gutzon & Lincoln Borglum. These majestic figures of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln were carefully crafted starting in 1927 and was completed in 1941. Borglum
believed these four presidents represented the most important events in the history of the United States-birth, growth, development and preservation.
While enjoying Mount Rushmore make sure to visit Crazy Horse Memorial. It’s a mountain monument under construction on privately held land in the Black Hills.
Heading northeast 29 miles will take you to the ever popular Sturgis, SD. Sturgis is well known for the Annual Sturgis Rally that welcomes thousands of bikers each year on the first weekend of August for 10 days.
If your adventure is hiking and exploring Custer Crossing Family Campground is 44 miles from Custer State Park and close enough for an all day adventure to several national parks including Wind Cave National Park, Buffalo Gap National Grassland and Badlands National Park.
