3rd Annual Gold Rush Burger Battle
January 14, 2026 - March 11, 2026 
“The Gold Rush Burger Battle” is a collaborative competition hosted by the Deadwood Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau and the Lead Area Chamber of Commerce.
This year’s battle will feature two businesses per week, lasting 9 weeks beginning on January 14 and ending in March. The battle is between all participating businesses, and customers can rank each burger they try over the weeks. The voting window for each business will be 10 days, starting on the Wednesday of their scheduled week until the next Friday.
Visit each establishment, try their unique specialty burger, and vote on a variety of categories with a star rating system. Burger names, descriptions, and a social media highlight will be released on the Wednesday of each businesses feature week on the Facebook pages linked below. Try them all! Where Burgers Collide. WHO WINS?: The rating period for a featured burger is open for ten days. We are using Survey Monkey for this process. We’ll have a link to each business’s rating page on this site during that ten day period. Customers rank from 1-5 stars on each category: flavor, patty, toppings, bun, and presentation. Each rating submitted for a business accumulates points (1-5) for each category. There is not a weekly winner. The overall battle winner will be announced when the final week of voting ends on March 20, 2026.
