Kool Deadwood Nites brings car lovers together for four days full of classic cars, classic music and classic fun. It’s a 50’s and 60’s sock hop – Deadwood style. Enjoy a parade, show and shine and FREE concerts on Main Street featuring the biggest names in rock ‘n roll history.

2020 IS THE 26TH ANNIVERSARY OF KOOL DEADWOOD NITES!

2020 Information

  • To sign up for pre-registration (mailed in May 2020), call the Deadwood Welcome Center at (605) 578-1876. Your vehicle must be a ’73 or older to register.
  • Registration for 2020 Kool Deadwood Nites will be held throughout the event at the Deadwood’s Welcome Center! 501 Main Street, Deadwood, S.D. 57732. This is a brand new center that opened in 2017. It’s located in the Lower Main Street Parking Lot, across from the Hampton Inn at Tin Lizzie.
  • Kool Deadwood Nites registered cars ONLY will have a section of the Lower Main Street parking lot (location of the new Welcome Center, where registration will be held) Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 27-29. Of course, registrants can continue to park throughout the event at the History and Information Center too.
  • There’s also a shuttle being offered for parking again this year, from Akela Spa to Deadwood. This is a free service to all of our guests for Kool Deadwood Nites, and it runs from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday, August 27 and 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday, August 28 & 29.
  • Auction vehicle check-in at TBD on Thursday, August 27 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information contact McPherson Auction & Realty at 605-484-1781 or 605-381-1594.
  • The Classic Car Auction is held at Deadwood Mountain Grand, Friday and Saturday, starting at 10 a.m. The auction begins each day at 9 a.m. with memorabilia. For more information contact McPherson Auction & Realty at 605-484-1781 or 605-381-1594.
  • The City of Deadwood Police Department asks that you please refrain from doing Burn-Outs during the parade on Sunday, August 30.
  • The Main Street Entertainment will feature headliners The Grass Roots, The Buckinghams and The Box Tops – all on Thursday night, Orleans on Friday night, and {To Be Determined} on Saturday night! PLUS, a Bonus night of live entertainment at Outlaw Square!

  • The Happy Together Tour at Deadwood Mountain Grand has been postponed until next year (2021). If tickets were purchased for the show, they may be used for the new date that coincides with Kool Deadwood Nites 2021. Refunds may be requested through the ticket outlets they were purchased from. If tickets were purchased through the Deadwood Mountain Grand Spotlight Store, please call 605-559-1188 for details of your refund. Please note, due to the massive amount of requests through Ticketmaster, refunds may take as long as 14 days prior to the actual newly announced event date. They ask for customer patience during these difficult times and all refunds will be honored. Deadwood Mountain Grand reminds ticket holders that all tickets purchased to postponed shows are good for the  upcoming dates.
